More Info: ‘If These Walls Could Talk’ collects and preserves latrinalia or deliberately inscribed markings in the bathroom stalls of London College of Communication (LCC).

The study challenges the longstanding notoriety of latrinalia being transgressive due to its vandalistic nature. Instead, it calls for a closer examination of the unique opportunities the art form may afford - one which constructs a platform for the counterculture to be heard through a mix of social activism, social outrage and creativity, and to ultimately be celebrated as the most beautiful of public gestures.
